Our Story

We, Petra Philipsen (60) and Anke van der Heijden (28), would first like to introduce ourselves.

Our passion for dogs has ensured that we are both specialized in different canine areas:

Petra is a behavioral expert and certified canine instructor,

Anke is a certified behavioral therapist and puppy coach.

We are both skilled animal caretakers and have put this into practice in our “Dog Hotel Happy Tail”. Petra has owned it for more than 27 years and Anke has worked there for 8 years; first as a caregiver and later also as a manager. We gained a lot of experience within this dog hotel with regard to the daily care of dogs, recognizing and treating (also in alternative ways) diseases and conditions, recognizing (problem) behavior and possibly solving it. Caring for coats of all possible breeds and species was also a daily occurrence.

 

We are both experienced experts and therefore specialized in everything related to ASD, ADD, high sensitivity and giftedness. This allows us to accurately assess the needs of a family and match our puppies to the needs of the family. We certainly don't forget any other children! We are both highly sensitive and intuitive and dare to trust this; it has never disappointed us. We have both completed the Systemic and Energetic coaching with dogs training. In 2001, the first litter of Warrigal's Australian Kelpies was born at Petra. The Australian Cobberdogs came our way in 2017 and from 2019 we will be breeding this beautiful breed together. We both have about 2 to 4 litters per year and our litters are born with each of us in our own home.

We qualify ourselves as professional breeders.
